Do Good Things Sweatshirt (White Logo)
Many people already know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual campaign to increase awareness of this disease. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. (source) Every year, stores “go pink” to support well known breast cancer charities.
As part of our ongoing mission to give back to our community at home and abroad, Lineagewear sought to support a breast cancer charity. Rather than donate to one of the big name foundations, we decided to fundraise for our local friends at Bob’s Boxes.
Bob’s Boxes is a tax-exempt 501(c) (3) nonprofit that provides free post-mastectomy care packages for women with breast cancer. Filled with useful, quality items, they are designed to make the days after surgery more comfortable and to provide a pick-me-up for women going through this difficult time. Bob’s Boxes founder is a Stage III breast cancer survivor who was recently nominated as one of Ford’s Warriors in Pink. Their mission of kindness, helping, and comfort resonates deeply with us, and we are proud to support them.
ALL proceeds from our Do Good Things collection will benefit Bob’s Boxes! This is a limited run collection, only for the month of October.
